Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Bangkok Arrival

Arrive in the energetic Thai capital. A private driver will transfer you to a cozy, centrally located backpacker hotel. Evening free — or jump straight in with an optional guided walk through the Flower Market, Golden Buddha Temple, and the colorful maze of Chinatown.

Day 2: Bangkok City & Nighttime Street Food

Start the day with our “Active & Responsible Bangkok” tour — ride the Skytrain, explore the Chao Phraya River, and visit iconic temples like Wat Arun, the Grand Palace, and Wat Pho, all by tuk-tuk.
Evening optional: Dive into a tuk-tuk street food tour through Chinatown for a fun, flavorful, and local dinner experience.

Day 3: Rural Markets

Wake up early for a visit to two of Thailand’s quirkiest markets:

  • Maeklong Railway Market, where trains pass just inches from vendors

  • Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, best explored by long-tail boat
Afternoon free — unwind with a Thai massage or explore Khao San Road with fellow backpackers.

Day 4: Full-Day Ayutthaya

Explore the ancient city of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with temples, palaces, and sacred ruins.
Visit Wat Mahathat, Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, and the riverside Wat Chai Wattanaram.
Return to Bangkok by evening.

Day 5–7: Overland to Northern Thailand

Leave Bangkok to visit the Ancient Capital (Sukhothai).

Typically includes stops in central/northern provinces (e.g., Phitsanulok, Sukhothai) and continues until arrival in Chiang Mai on Day 7.

Day 8: Chiang Mai

Explore the city at your own pace or opt in for the Total Chiang Mai Grand Tour, including Doi Suthep, local markets, and ancient temples.
Perfect for photographers and cultural explorers.

Day 9: Elephant Experience

Spend the morning at an elephant rescue sanctuary — no riding, just feeding, observing, and connecting with these gentle giants in a natural setting.
Evening free — we suggest visiting the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar or grabbing a cocktail with a view.

Day 10: Departure or Continue South

End of services or discuss an optional extension to the South if budget/time allows, you can fly or take the overnight train south to the islands or your next destination.
Optional extension: Continue your adventure with a beach escape to Krabi, Koh Samui, or Phuket.
