During Thonburi Walking Tour you will stroll around one of the most culturally diverse neighborhoods of Bangkok, just across Bangkok's flower market and the Grand Palace
Thonburi Walking Tour
This tour is a cultural walk where we will explore the area between Wat Kalayanamit and Lhong 1919. This is a very culturally diverse area with four major ethnic groups: Thai Chinese, Thai Buddhists, Muslims, and Catholics.
You’ll be walking along riverside paths and through narrow alleyways. You will see old warehouses, the Princess Mothers Memorial Park, the Guan Wu shrine, the Guwatin Mosque, the Memorial Bridge, Santa Cruz Church, and the Kudeejeen (Portuguese-Catholic) Community will all be visible as you walk.
We will provide water along the way, as well as the opportunity to stop for a snack, cold drinks, and a rest.
This walk takes place across the river from attractions such as The Flower Market, Chinatown, Wat Pho, and The Grand Palace. If you want to continue exploring after the tour, your guide can point you in the right direction.
By booking this experience you will have a chance to get a sense of local life and Bangkok’s diversity. It’s a great way to combine a half-day of sightseeing or other activities in Rattanakosin or Chinatown with our exploration of the area just across the river.
Food safety is very important for us. In every places where we will take you there are good standard of cleanliness.
Please allow some time ahead when getting to the meeting point. Try to arrive 15 minutes early. The traffic sometimes is bad, especially in the evening, and we suggest you take Skytrain.
